General Eisenhower's D-Day Speech


On June 5, 1944, 150,000 troops were massed in Southern England waiting to begin the world’s largest amphibious assault.

The success of D-Day would open a new Allied front against Nazi Germany, leading to the downfall of Hitler and the Third Reich. On the eve of the assault, Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Dwight D.
