The Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aired for the first time on Tuesday a new 3-minute promotional video that showcases China's most sophisticated and deadliest aircraft as part of China's military modernization. The video was released in-time of the PLAAF's Aviation Open Day held in Jilin, a province located at northeastern China. Titled as "Safeguarding the New Era," the video features PLAAF's newest war aircraft and shows footages of PLAAF's aerial training exercises. The video emphasizes how the Chinese military prepares itself for the new era of warfare.

The Chinese Government has put much investment in the modernization of its military as to further protect and uphold the country's national security and sovereignty. For the recent years, the PLAAF has exerted efforts in patrolling islands under China's territory as well as aerial patrols in the South China Sea, the East China Sea, and the Western Pacific. The promotional video is a manifestation that the PLAAF is now ready to train its forces for the "new era."

Among the featured new Chinese aircraft are the Chengdu J-10C Lightweight Multirole Fighter Plane, Chengdu J-20 Stealth Fighter, and the Shenyang J-16 Multirole Strike Fighter.

The J-10C Lightweight Multirole Fighter can dominate the skies while the J-20 Stealth Fighter can annihilate aggressive air defense systems. The J-16 Multirole Striker Fighter is capable of confidently engaging ground targets of the enemies since it is equipped with numerous air-to-air missiles, guided rockets and bombs, and anti-ship missiles. The J-10C Lightweight Multirole Fighter and J-20 Stealth Fighter, on the other hand, are equipped with a various long-range and short air-to-air missiles.

Aside from these newly sophisticated aircraft, the 3-minute promotional video also highlights PLAAF's H-6K bombers, airborne early warning and control aircraft, and tanker aircraft.

Meanwhile, reflected in its latest report, the Pentagon cited that the Air Force of the Chinese Government is the largest in Asia Pacific Region.

The report added that the Chinese Air Force is also the third largest air force all over the world. It cited that the PLAAF has always been aggressive in its efforts to become a brilliant strategic force that is highly proficient in the long-range projection of power. Accordingly, this can be construed by the series of frequent bomber operations conducted by PLAAF in strategic areas all over the Asia Pacific Region.
