Resurgent Al-Qaeda Planning New Series Of Spectacular Attacks Against Airliners And Airports, Including Drone Strikes And Suicide Passengers, Warns U.S. Security Minister; After Gatwick Airport Incident — Will Drones Become The New Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)?

Just in time for Christmas. Leave it to the darker angels of our nature and the pathetic — the militant Islamists — to keep coming back like a bad hangover. I have written for the past several years that it is ‘easy’ to kill a person; but an idea/philosophy….not so much. I have repeatedly argued that the world needs a 21st century version of the Nuremberg War Crimes trials and put militant Islam on trial — much as we did Nazism in the immediate aftermath of WWII. Just as the Nuremberg War Crimes trials exposed the world to the true evil that Nazism comprised, and held accountable those that executed its tenants — we need to do the same today with militant Islam. That is the only way in my view to ‘kill’ this odious, evil philosophy and the pathetic malcontents who carry out its ‘ideals.’ I have an article that I wrote and posted on this blog back in 2015, “We Need A Judgment At Raqqa,” a take on the Hollywood film classic, Judgment At Nuremberg,” which is available on this blog, if you would like to read more. With that…….

Britain’s Security Minister Ben Wallace issued a public warning that al-Qaeda is “plotting a new series of attacks that is…..keeping ministers awake at night.” Leigh McManus posted a December 23, 2018 article in the DailyMail.com, adding that Security Minister Wallace is warning that “al-Qaeda is planning attacks on airports and airliners; and, even plans to use explosive-laden drones to take down targets in a bid to become the world’s most feared terror organization once again.”

Speaking to the London Sunday Times, Minister Wallace discussed the “insider threat of terrorists working undercover at our airports,” Mr. McManus wrote. “The aviation threat is real. Aviation is still a blue riband event for these terrorists,” he warned. “al-Qaeda is resurgent. They have reorganized. They are pushing more and more plots towards Europe; and, have become familiar with new methods [i.e., Gatwick airport drone incident], and still aspire to aviation attacks,” he said. “The decline of the Islamic State, will open up avenues for Osama bin Laden’s brainchild to stake [re-stake] its claim as the world’s preeminent terror organization.” Minister Wallace “likened the Islamic State to the latest ‘boy band,’ but added the ‘dormant’ al-Qaeda were always plotting in the background; and, that a large aviation attack would be its best calling card.”

“In 2019, we should be alert to al-Qaeda,” Minister Wallace said. “They are re-energising some previous links and support; and, their ambition towards aviation is real. We saw in Australia that terrorists do what works, and they don’t give up,” referencing a failed terrorist attack on a commercial aircraft in Australia in 2017.

Minister Wallace said that “while 13 Islamist terror plots have been thwarted in Britain since March 2017, new leaders are ‘stepping up’ and inspiring others to execute a ‘reunion tour’ of attacks on the West.”

I refer you to “We Need A Judgment At Raqqa.” We need not only to kill these malcontents, we need to kill the idea/philosophy. The Nuremberg War Crimes Trials demonstrated how to eradicate the evil philosophy of Nazism. We need a 21st century version of Nuremberg to remind a post-war audience that some ideas/philosophies require humankind to take the extraordinary step of branding those ideas and philosophy so evil, so as to discourage those who might entertain thoughts of joining or adhering to such garbage. Minster Wallace is also correct to warn on aviation. al-Qaeda no doubt watched and learned from the recent incident of drone activity at London’s Gatwick airport; and, are likely planning a much more threatening and damaging version of that incident.
